Shah Rukh Khan Wishes Fans Happy Ganapati Invites Them for a Fun AskSRK Session

Shah Rukh Khan added a little more star power to the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities on Monday as he extended warm wishes to his fans and invited them to join him for another fun-filled #AskSRK session. Taking to social media on September 15, the superstar wrote, “Happy Ganapati to all the boys & girls. Festivities & happiness around and may Bappa bring more of it in your lives.”

Never one to miss an opportunity to turn a simple greeting into a fan interaction, SRK then suggested that happiness is even better when shared with friends. He added, “To add to happiness it's always better to share it with friends. So a bit of sharing and laughs let's do an #AskSRK for a while if you all have the time. Love u.” The post immediately set the mood for another round of the actor’s famously candid and witty fan conversations.

SRK’s #AskSRK sessions have become something of a social-media tradition, with fans regularly turning up with questions ranging from his films and characters to his personal favourites and, occasionally, some wonderfully random queries. The actor is equally known for responding with humour, charm and the occasional dose of trademark Shah Rukh wisdom.

The festive interaction comes at a particularly exciting time for the superstar, who is gearing up for his much-awaited return to cinemas with King. The action thriller is scheduled to release theatrically on December 24, 2026, marking Shah Rukh Khan’s next major big-screen outing after his blockbuster 2023 run.

In King, SRK is set to embrace a dramatically different avatar. The actor reportedly plays a ruthless, world-class assassin navigating a dangerous mafia underworld, with his character sporting a distinctive salt-and-pepper look. The film draws inspiration from the cult classic Léon: The Professional, with the story revolving around his relationship with a young girl whom he takes under his wing as his protégé.

Adding another major layer to the film is Suhana Khan, who is set to make her theatrical debut opposite her father. She plays his on-screen protégé, making King a particularly anticipated project for fans of the Khan family. Abhishek Bachchan is also set to play a major antagonist, setting up a face-off with SRK.

The ensemble further includes names such as Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Jaideep Ahlawat in prominent roles and special appearances. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand, who reunites with SRK after Pathaan, while Sujoy Ghosh is among the writers. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and Sachin-Jigar.

For now, though, the superstar has temporarily shifted gears from the dangerous world of King to the festive spirit of Ganpati Bappa. His invitation to fans for an #AskSRK session adds an interactive twist to his Ganesh Chaturthi greeting — and judging by his history with these sessions, fans are unlikely to let the opportunity go to waste.

As SRK himself put it, “a bit of sharing and laughs” is the perfect way to celebrate. And when Shah Rukh Khan is asking, fans are always ready with questions.
